Get On Board

Lately my 17 month old has been obsessed with the potty chair. I got it out a few weeks ago after she started informing me every time before she went #2. I've been lazy and haven't done anything more with it-- she's really young, after all. But every time she sees it, she feels compelled to carry it from room to room for awhile, sitting whenever it strikes her fancy.

Today she dragged it out to the living room and set it in front of the TV. When she wandered off, the 3 year old began playing with it and pretty soon she was standing in the 'hole'.

I didn't notice until my 7 year old, our resident mother hen, shouted in tones of disgust, "Ew, she's standing in the Potty Train!!"

Hopefully it's the Express.

How funny! I would have never thought to call it that. You never know with that youngest one, mine started going pretty regularly around 20 months. Some of them just get it before others!

It's nice that she likes it enough to carry it around - my 4th boy thought it was the story chair - I would read him a story while he sat on it, which he liked, but it took him a long time to figure out it had another purpose!

Cute! But, let me throw in that my eldest potty trained about 18 months and was by far the easiest. Apparently it is still cool (like Mommy) and not an annoyance when they are that age.

Toot! Toot! All aboard. That's adorable.

Can I get a ticket for my 2.5 year old?

That is too funny!
Of course, when the true training starts there are moments you feel you are in a train tunnel and see no way out! LOL

Lol... my 18 month old has begun sitting on the potty chair for the sheer amount of accolades that follow. It's super cute now, but we'll see how long his interest lasts. :)

I love the potty training stage. My now 3 year old is finally done! This past fall when we were trying so hard to get him to use the toliet he would say things like, "Hmmm, today is not a good day" or "That's not going to work" He was tough but we've survived... one more to go (he's only 9 months)
