He's No Pavarotti

Last night my 7 and 8 year old sons were getting goofy while emptying the dishwasher, chattering and causing a ruckus. Pretty soon the 7 year old could be heard singing in a dramatic wavery falsetto, opera-style. The 8 year old listened to him for a minute, then said, "Boy, when you grow up, you're going to make a great GIRL!"

Sounds a lot like my 9 yo daughter asking my 10 yo son if she'd make it to Hollywood week on American Idol. He said "I don't think you're quite to the level yet, but I'm sure you will be when you get to puberty"

Ha, that's great!

I've never commented here before. I found this site while doing some research. A while back I read the book Hospital by the River (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0825460719/104-0020094-8137524?v=glance&n=283155), which is a really excellent book and if anyone hasn't read it, they really should. Then I saw the Oprah show when she went to Ethiopia, so I decided to do some research on that country.

I just wanted to say that you have an excellent blog and your girls are gorgeous. All of your children are.

Hope you don't mind that I snagged this for the Carnival of Kid Comedy this week. It was too good not to use!
