Thank you for writing that! I only have 6 children (for now, we ar adopting #7 from Guatemala) and I get so many looks and questions. I feel that I have so much more than those with the average 2 children. I would not trade my life any day with them, even if it meant more money or trips, house, (fill on the blanks)...thanks for putting it into words!
This post is just what I needed to read today! We have two kids right now and shortly after Little Sister was born, I was diagnosed with Lupus. I've always wanted at least four children, but my health threw me for a loop. I've gradually gotten very comfortable with "only two" and while my hubby is starting to say "It's time..." I'm saying "for what??" He's right---it's almost time. A 3rd is definitely back on the menu. Thank-you for being the messenger for an answer to a prayer.
well, you just made me cry, girl. your family warms my heart. we have 5 and ita ... "You know what? I think we’re affording the good stuff after all." thank you.
I am Mary. 20 years ago I married my high school sweetheart. We have kids in college, high school, junior high, grade school, preschool, and diapers, 8 altogether. Half arrived via adoption. I homeschool. I kiss owies. I write. I eat chocolate. I garden. I cook. I take pictures obsessively. I am very busy and very, very blessed.
I write at my Owlhaven Wordpress blog, my Ethiopia adoption blog and at LargerFamilies.com
