My Woodworker

Mir over at Want Not (I love this blog!) is talking about bookcases today. My advice about the bookshelves? Marry a woodworker. My hubby built an awesome floor to ceiling built-in bookcase in my boys’ bedroom behind their bedroom door. The top shelf goes above the closet and spans the entire wall. It is built entirely out of walnut, and is L-bracketed to the wall. Basically indestructible.

AMEN to that! I married a woodworker (who is a full time soldier, to boot). He says "If women don't find ya handsome, at least let 'em find ya handy!" He's BOTH!
That is a cool bookcase.

That's the one characteristic my husband doesn't have but I wish he did. He can't build a darn thing.

The shelves look very nice!

My husband's pretty handy and if he doesn't know how to do it, he's willing to learn. I love those bookshelves, and I think if I showed my hubby he would be able to make um. Thanks for sharing!
