take THAT, you nasty spammers

After 152 spams in the last 3 days (thanks in part to Blogger malfunctioning and sending me multiple email notifications of the same spam) I am now turning on word verification. Sorry, peeps. I held off as long as I could.

I sometimes wonder why spammers even bother, since it's so easy to block them. Luckily they haven't found me yet, but I imagine word verification is only a step around the corner for me. I wish I had a little more control over it - like 3 letters, instead of 8, and V's are not allowed to be next to w's. I wish it was as easy to filter them out of my email - I'm getting a little weary of deleting all the penis enlargement ads I get every day.

I got 42 the same day you did. What was up with Blogger that night? I still haven't turned on word verification, but I think it's coming soon.

I have it on one blog but I'm trying not to have it on my second blog. One really good thing about gmail is that I can get 18 duplicate email messages but it will treat it as one email since it thinks it's coming from the same email address, much easier to delete.

I got almost 100 spam messages over the last 2 days on my old posts. I gave up and turned on word verification, too. I really don't like it, but there's not much else I can do. I held out as long as I could but the spammers finally found me. :-)

There must have been a spamathon over the weekend - I got hit, too, with the same word verification results. Someone once explained to me the tiny number of respondents that spammers need to make huge profits, and to the respondents I say, "Phhhl."

I like reading this blog because your family has a wide range of ages, just like ours soon will be. I am an almost-fifteen-year-old girl with two biological brothers, ages 7 and ten, and my family is waiting for the referral of an infant from Ethiopia (my blog is www.bigsisdiaries.blogspot.com)I'm looking forward to reading more!

I got hit, too, just the other day! Arg! I had to do the dreaded word verif. thing too. Oh well! If we're all doing it, then our peeps should be used to it by now!
